Chateau d'Oupia Les Heretiques 2011

This red from the Herault region is named in honor of the sectarians who, early in the 13th century, were massacred by the Church. In this case the blood of martyrs has given us an agreeable wine, with distinct cherry and red berry elements, and an interesting whiff of olive. Although the vineyard's entry level offering, it's nevertheless a superior country wine. 9.99.

Bravo on your assessment of a great wine and PA's wine retailing system and all its inefficiency vis à vis MD, DE, NJ and NY to name but a few. Château d'Oupia Les Héritiques is a lovely Languedoc wine made half way using carbonic maceration and half way traditionally in its vinification. I was most well rewarded buying out of state recently. Keep up the great reviews and wine work.
