Crios Syrah/Bonarda 2007

Yet another Argentine red from the Mendoza Valley, this is a very fruit forward wine, unusually so for a Mendoza. Red berries and red cherry are dominant, with a conspicuous chocolate element. If you insist upon absolutely dry wines you probably won't like it, but if you're willing to go with a fun, extremely pleasant quaff this is a real find. And, probably because it's near the end of its useful life (although by no means over the hill), it's being remaindered at $7.99, a price well below the market. By all means go for it!

We bought this for a party last night. It benefitted from a little breathing time, but was just the ticket. Thanks for the recommendation!
