Les Mines 2003
Priorat has become one of the prime wine regions of Spain in the last ten years or so. This Catalan red is being remaidered because of its age, but is still in its prime. A truly distinguished wine, with a nicely restrained blend of plum and blackberry flavors, along with soft tannins and a hint of licorice at the long finish. An oustanding bargain at $9.99.
