Santa Julia Innovacion Tempranillo/Malbec 2011

This  Argentine red is a country wine, no more, but it/s pleasant to drink so long as you let it breathe for at least an hour and, at $6.99 for the one liter bottle, a stupendous bargain. If you're in the market for an affordable everyday drink, stock up.

I also live in Pennsylvania, and to be sure, Innovacion is one of the rare decent bargain wines you'll find here. My biggest complaint about the state liquor board is that I can never find a single varietal petit verdot--an unusual request, I know, but I should at least be permitted to order it delivered to my home if the state stores refuse to carry it.
